At The Women's Advocacy Center, we are passionate about educating clients and the communities we serve. Our goal through this forum is to engage key stakeholders in discussing how domestic abuse and trauma affect women and children, particularly those in rural and suburban areas. We are committed to intentional collaboration and engagement that raise awareness. Our belief is that trauma-informed communities can together help break harmful cycles of domestic abuse. At the forum you will hear:

  • Data on domestic abuse in suburban communities
  • How trauma may look to those who are not trauma-informed
  • The different ways people in the community may see the effects of trauma on those with whom they engage
